brad mason

Executive Vice President

Brad's career at Mason Construction began while working towards the completion of his bachelor's degree in Education at Lamar University. Starting in the field as a surveyor, site manager and project manager, his early field experience prepared him for his future as a leader in the company and within the construction industry. In his early years, Brad managed various jobs on location and began building relationships between Mason Construction and major industrial clients throughout Southeast Texas. Notably, he was chiefly responsible for the projects at the Mobil Oil and Chemical Plants in Beaumont and the DuPont facility in Orange, Texas, which were critical to the early growth and success of the company.

Brad's background includes experience in all areas of civil construction for commercial, industrial, petrochemical, heavy highway and public works projects throughout Southeast Texas. Experience gained early in his career helped to craft the company culture of developing mutual trust and loyalty between Mason Construction and its employees, who are the true life-blood of the company. Mason Construction embraces a long history of attracting and retaining the best talent in the area. By providing opportunities for shareholding in the company, loyalty and integrity are built into the company culture. Since taking over the company with his brother Chuck, the company's client base has expanded greatly, the average number of employees increased from 30 to over 250, and the company's focus grew from site prep and dirt work to include civil, concrete, piling and structural steel.

Brad's involvement in the community includes previous service on the Kountze ISD School Board for a number of years. In addition, he has volunteered his time and resources towards the Southeast Texas Food Bank, Hotel Beaumont Retirement Home, Legacy Christian Academy and Cal Farley's Boys Ranch.

Brad Mason joined the company in 1971 and has served as executive vice-president in charge of construction operations since 1980. His responsibilities include overseeing construction activities, estimating, equipment and material procurement, and construction personnel.
