We are proud to hold a number of affiliations with local and national industry and community organizations. The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce is one of those local networks that we have supported for a number of years. The local Chamber in turn supports businesses and economic development in our area.
Their mission statement:
"The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce serves its members and community as a catalyst to have a positive impact on the economic well-being of Beaumont and the surrounding region."
Just as the structure of a building cannot stand on its own, a single business cannot survive without the help and support of others; the Chamber provides the foundation for that support. As an example, there is quite a bit of chatter about the proposed project to deepen and widen the Sabine-Neches Waterway, which supports the Port of Beaumont. The Chamber helped gather publicity in the community and continues to support the project to see it get closer to becoming a reality. We all expect that endeavor to have a positive impact on our economy in Southeast Texas.

Since the Chamber works hard for our area businesses, we try to give back to them. Not only have we held a longtime membership with the Chamber, many of our employees have volunteered their time and energy to activities that benefit the Chamber and its programs. One of the latest events, the Chamber's annual planning workshop, was held earlier this month. Chad Mason, Vice President of Administration, attended the workshop to learn more about the latest Chamber programs and offered his input for planning the direction for the next twelve months.
Mason Construction, Ltd. also has employees working in several divisions of the Chamber. Leading and mentoring upcoming business professionals is something that we hope to continue and the Chamber has several programs in which our employees serve. They have been involved as participants, mentors and committee members to help further the goal of cooperation and development across industries.
While this is not the core of what we do on a daily basis, it is one of the many ways we give back to our community.
Make it a safe day!
