This week brings awareness to fire prevention with a nationally recognized "Fire Prevention Week,” promoted by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The theme for 2018 is: "Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware – fire can happen anywhere.” According to the NFPA’s website, there are three call-to-actions for how someone can lower their risk for fire and be prepared if they do experience one:
- Look for places fire can start
- Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm
- Learn two ways out of each room
According to the NFPA, a majority of fire related deaths occur at the home. It is important to be aware of fire safety and prevention tips in the home and on the job. Especially as we head into the cooler months when many people start using their fireplaces and indoor heaters.
One Team. One Vision. One Goal. – Everyone Goes Home Safe!
